Author bio:
I started writing because I wanted to change my world and my life. I thought that if I could chronicle my life down to the last second and then introduce something different - I would be able to influence the real world and have my writing come to life.
I retreat into fantasy to deal with reality. When I found myself floundering in Math, I imagined that there was a Secret Space Academy and they are looking all over the world for the best and the brightest. I wanted so much to go to space- that desire was real enough- but if I keep getting average scores in Math - they'd never pick me. So everyday, I studied as if there really was a Space Academy and I am working to get into it. And it worked for me.
I view life as one huge computer/console game but without the save points and do-overs.
I started Nanowrimo in 2004 and one thing lead to another and if it weren't for this, I would probably never have met my awesome fiance. :)
